Hello Dear Friends,
Greetings once again on this middle-of-the-month August day!
I am writing to all of our friends as an update to everyone to let all know that, by God’s grace, we are all still alive and well.
During this COVID-19 pandemic period of time we are following all of the government precautions and recommendations to help us remain as healthy as possible.
There are no educational classes being conducted. But our 16 secondary school students are still allowed to come inside to get books and to study both inside and outside the main building. They are masked and practice social distancing.
But, remaining healthy involves staying in good nutritional health, so we are still feeding our children breakfast and lunch every weekday, and lunch on Saturday. Many have gone to their distanced villages for now, but all remaining are free to come to the gate, where our cooks take the food and serve them. Our three certified teachers take turns (two days each) just outside the gate to keep them separated.

I must add our thankfulness and great appreciation to all who donate to Noah’s Ark, including the Dossani Trust, and Lakhani Organization. Sometimes this is with financial assistance, and sometimes it is in products such as bags of beans, maize, sugar, porridge mix, etc., etc.
Social distancing had just gotten started when this photo was taken, and the children were called to get stocking caps that women employees and some guardians had knit for them. Yes, it does get cold here, even though we don’t have snow and ice. The mountain winds are very cold. We took a quick photo and sent them on their way.
I will close for now by just saying that those who are sponsoring children will also receive a personal newsletter with updated photo/photos of their ‘Noah’s Ark Child’.
Goodbye for now,
Pastor Nancy A. Sisco,
Director of Noah’s Ark Orphan Care
PS: Anyone wishing information about ‘sponsoring a child’ can contact Carol Livasy, one of the officers of the organization, who also has a Facebook Page.
